Set across two storeys, this is a gorgeous Victorian house with antique furnishings and elegant features throughout. Marble and timber finishes bestow old-world grandeur, particularly in the country-style kitchen which has eight-person dining and colourful artwork. Both bedrooms have balconies, while the dining room has an adjoining balcony with a barbecue and seating. The living room and study have decorative fireplaces, while the marble bathroom has a separate bath.

Local area description

About 15 minutes from the Sydney CBD, Balmain is an attractive neighbourhood filled with Victorian-era houses, alfresco cafes and lush parks. It’s home to a popular restaurant scene, which is best experienced along Darling Street, along with fashionable boutiques, artisan bakeries and cosmopolitan eateries. Visit the Balmain Market on weekends for handicrafts and organic goods and venture north or east to relax at waterside parks.

Public transport
The Balmain Wharf ferry terminal is about 700 metres away and has regular ferries to Circular Quay and Darling Harbour in around 10 to 15 minutes. There are multiple bus stops along Darling Street and around Gladstone Park with the line 442 servicing the surrounding suburbs and accessing the Sydney CBD in about 25 minutes.

Ride sharing
Ride sharing apps are a safe and easy way to get around, especially late at night when public transport services are less frequent. Prices are about two-thirds of a taxi, but may surge during bad weather or public events.

House rules

You are staying in a friendly and peaceful neighbourhood and we kindly ask you to respect the community and your surrounding neighbours. The following strict House Rules apply:

- No loud noise between 10 pm and 8 am
- No parties or antisocial behaviour
- No additional people are to access the property without prior approval of MadeComfy
- No pets are allowed in the property without approval
- No smoking is allowed at any times
- If you break something, please let us know

- To help protect all floor coverings do not wear any shoes inside the property

Please be aware that excessive noise such as amplified music, vocals or screaming or anti-social behaviour in the property or common areas can cause neighbours to complain to
MadeComfy, the Building Manager, Council Rangers or Police.

IMPORTANT: Any breach of the House Rules may lead to a $500 fine plus compensation for any cost/damage created and immediate eviction of the property.

Finally, when checking out, we kindly ask you for the following:

- Please leave all beds unmade
- Please clean up your dishes and put them away
- In case you have rearranged furniture, please put it back to the original location
- Please take out the rubbish and remember to use the right bins
- Please ensure all appliances and lights are off and doors and windows are closed
