Prior to founding MadeComfy Sabrina worked in commercial management roles for Colgate Palmolive and Kellogg’s. Sabrina is a CPA and has completed an MBA and a photography degree. Since growing up in Venezuela, South America, Sabrina was passionate about travel and interior design. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs she was always looking for a way to combine her passion for travel and design with her professional experience, until founding MadeComfy. Sabrina’s determination, creativity and attention to detail have created a strong foundation for the brand and customer experience of MadeComfy.
MadeComfy Co-CEO & Co-Founder
Quirin has developed the vision and strategy for MadeComfy. He is an entrepreneur with strong experience in sales, operations management and strategy. Quirin has a Masters in Industrial Engineering and an MBA. Born in Munich, Germany, Quirin is keen on travel, sport and adventure. In his spare time, Quirin is actively engaged with Jayma Kunan, a charity he runs with close friends to help children in poverty-stricken South America and Moldavia.
Chief Technology Officer
Tom joined MadeComfy in 2017, bringing more than 20 years' experience building software and technology teams to the role. Tom has worked across diverse industries including energy and media and specialises in startup businesses. Tom's passion for startups, solving scalability challenges and building teams attracted him to MadeComfy.
Chief Marketing Officer
Nina's professional experience includes working in fast-paced, high-growth multinational organisations using a performance-driven marketing approach. Nina is particularly interested in the travel industry, where she sees the sharing economy provides a more authentic guest experience for mutual benefit. Born in Korea, Nina loves the beach and Australia's chilled-out culture. Recently returned from a round-world adventure, her favourite place so far is India.
Head of Customer Service
As Head of Customer Service at MadeComfy, Louise is here to develop the culture which provides “wow” customer service. She is passionate about growing, developing and inspiring an overall customer experience.
Louise has 21 years experience in the Travel and Tourism Industry; encompassing roles with business and operational management, business strategy and overall leadership responsibilities.
She commenced her career at BCD Travel in 1996. During her time with this company she held various senior and executive management roles, including Head of Systems and Technology, Head of Operations and General Manager. In 2012 she was appointed Managing Director Australia where she oversaw all commercial, financial and operational functions. In leading the Australian operation Louise set the company’s strategic direction to power customer success by making the most of travel investment, keeping traveller’s safe and enhancing the traveller experience.
Louise was born and raised in Sydney, however lived in Brisbane for 14 years. She recently returned to her home town of Sydney with her husband Gavin, our three year old son Lucas and her beloved Weimaraner, Gilmour. She loves spending time with her family and friends. Louise enjoy cooking and dining out at nice restaurants. Her husband and she share a love of music and have been to many music festivals and live concerts over the years. Above all, she loves to travel.
Senior Operations Manager
As our Senior Ops Manager at MadeComfy, Jono is in charge of looking after the Maintenance, Operations, Housekeeping and Guest Experience across Australia.
From Melbourne born and raised, he moved up to Sydney in 2008 for what was meant to be 3-months, but living in Bondi, it turned into a little more than that!
Before joining MadeComfy in August 2018, Jono graduated from an MBA, majoring in franchising, for loving being part of innovating and growing businesses. As a matter of facts, he launched and sold a small pizza chain with 7 stores and was also involved in starting-up an international chicken wing franchise called Wingstop - he has a record of eating 40 wings in one go.
Now father of a baby boy called Ted, Jono also has a bulldog called 'Meatball' who he takes very seriously and treats him as if he were human. Meatball can often be found slobbering around the office.
Passionate about people and cultures, Jono learned Mandarin for more than 13 years and travelled for 6 months around China.
Clifford Rosenberg joined MadeComfy’s advisory board in June 2017 to help provide direction on overall strategy and to also mentor the MadeComfy leadership team. Previously, Cliff led a team of 300 staff as Linkedin Managing Director South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Cliff is also a non-executive director, investor and advisor for a number of ASX-listed companies including Afterpay and Dimmi. Cliff was attracted to MadeComfy as an investment opportunity as he saw a win-win opportunity for both homeowners and property investors. He recognised opportunities for investors maximising returns from short-term rentals, and for guests, a guaranteed high-quality great short-term rental experience as an alternative to hotels and other traditional holiday accommodation.
After a senior management career with Hewlett Packard, Compaq Computers and 3Com in the UK and Germany, Manfred Hasseler founded and managed several successful offline and online businesses, one of them disruptive online auction site Swoopo with operations in Europe, the US and South Korea. He is a founder and director of a new wine business format, We Love Vino and a long-term investor and advisor at skill-sharing platform Airtasker. Manfred joined the MadeComfy advisory board in 2017 and is also an investor. He advises on overall strategy and growth for MadeComfy and brings a wealth of experience from startups in Australia, Germany, Asia, Europe and the United States
Rolf Hansen is the co-founder and former CEO of Australian telco ‘disruptor’ amaysim, an ASX listed company founded in 2010 to both simplify and improve mobile phone and internet services for customers at affordable prices. In 2005, prior to amaysim, Rolf co-founded Simyo, a major disruptor in the European telco market. Rolf joined the MadeComfy advisory board in 2017 and is an investor. Rolf’s dedication to company culture and providing customer-centric mobile services aligns neatly with MadeComfy’s customer service-focused solution where short-term rental property hosts and guests are at the heart of the business. Rolf advises the MadeComfy team on strategy, building a strong company culture and delivering game-changing customer service.
Peter O’Connell is a co-founder and ex-Chairman of ASX-listed Australian telco amaysim and Co-Founder and Chairman The Chic Group. Peter joined MadeComfy’s advisory board in 2017 and is an investor. Peter has served on a number of boards for public companies including Ticketek, Perisher Blue and Stadium Australia, as well as government boards including Film Australia, The Australian Museum and NSW Major Events Board. Peter supports MadeComfy through his extensive personal and professional networks and offers advice on scaling and developing strategies around expanding MadeComfy’s services.
Investec Emerging Companies Advisory Hein Vogel joined the MadeComfy advisory board in 2017, having also advised on key developments in the Australian telco startup amaysim and negotiating on structure and transfers for several ASX-listed companies over the past decade. Hein specialises in investing in advising and connecting emerging companies and entrepreneurs. At MadeComfy Hein provides financial, legal and strategic advice to the team, and is also an investor.
Customer Experience Team Lead
Julian's passion for people and enterprise is matched only by his appetite for international travel and gastrofood. Undoubtedly inspired by his French roots, Julian has travelled extensively, covering over 35 countries, has worked in the Travel Industry as a sales representative for Flight Centre, and has set up his own Gourmet Food Truck business in his spare time!
As his first experience in a small business, Julian believes MadeComfy is the perfect fit for his entrepreneurial spirit to fly! At the end of a long day, Julian enjoys nothing more than relaxing with a cold beer, and spending time with his baby Husky, Jaffle.
Customer Experience Team Lead
Having grown up living and breathing real estate, it only felt natural that after University Danni choose to begin her career in real estate. She first started leasing properties for a boutique agency and then onto managing a portfolio of multi-million dollar homes across Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Before joining MadeComfy, Danni gained online travel experience from one of the world’s largest booking sites, specialising in business development and onboarding short-term accommodation.
At MadeComfy, Danni works within our Customer Experience team; who are responsible for managing the ever-growing portfolio of homes and owners.
Customer Experience Manager
From Sweden, Simona has been living in Australia since 2010 and experienced the living of Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne. Passionate traveller, she’s been around more than 40 countries across Europe, Australasia and South America.
Together with travelling, Simona’s hobbies include sunbathing and enjoying the beach, working-out and hiking - she did the Mount Everest Base Camp in 2018.
After joining the Sydney Guest Experience team as operations coordinator in May 2017, Simona then moved to Melbourne to become our Customer Experience Manager. With a background in hospitality, working in Sweden, London and Australia, she loves working as a customer experience manager.
Customer Experience Manager
Born in the Philippines, Mark moved to Sydney almost 20 years ago. He is passionate about traveling, cooking and creating extraordinary experiences for customers.
Mark has joined the MadeComfy family with 10 years experience in roles spanning customer service, customer experience and customer success along with office management, administration and business support.
As the main point of contact for property owners, he is always going above and beyond in making sure they are 100% satisfied.
Customer Experience Manager
Born and raised in Bangladesh, Raihana visited Sydney a few times, before deciding that she truly loved the city and wanted to live there. After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Bangladesh, she decided to move to Australia to complete a postgraduate degree in Marketing at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).
Her career journey kickstarted in CRM for a startup company and soon after she realised that understanding consumer psychology and solving problems was her calling. At Madecomfy, working as a support for the customer experience team, she aims to make our short-term rental property owners happy by promptly updating their dashboards and working to provide 100% financial transparency.
Raihana puts family first and not only is she a great babysitter and cook, but she’s also an amazing singer!
Reny has professional background in Financial Management, Accounting and Auditing in Banking, Manufacturing, Construction, Services and Telecommunications sectors in Venezuela and Australia. He worked as Auditor at PwC Venezuela and BBVA Provincial in the Financial Area, reaching the position of Sub Unit Director. Reny is passionate about his career and is on the way to obtaining CPA in Australia.
Reny loves analysing, simplifying and automating processes at MadeComfy. He believes that if there are structured processes, there are happy customers.
In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as boxing sessions at the nearby park or running with his favourite music.
Business Operation Analyst
Started his career as an auditor at one of the big four accounting firms 10 years ago, Thio has now expanded his professional experience beyond auditing and accounting. Thio has worked across diverse industries from media research to fashion, financial services to manufacturing, he has experienced them all. When he came to Australia about 3 years ago, he decided to branch out his knowledge into a new area that he found exciting and challenging, the hospitality industry. He completed the post graduate degree in international hotel management at BMIHMS @ Torens University before completing his MBA at AGSM @ UNSW Business School.
While completing his MBA on an exchange program at Tuck School of Business in the US, Thio also found a great interest about the real estate management and entrepreneurship. All this journey has brought him to MadeComfy which he thinks is unique, attractive, and a perfect fit for his inquisitiveness. Thio lives by the old axiom “Less is more” and he will use his experience to develop and streamline the processes and procedures at MadeComfy as the company grows.
In his spare time, Thio loves hanging out with families and friends as well as playing tennis, squash or badminton. He likes listening to music too but very bad at remembering the song titles or singers.
Coming from a real estate and customer service background, Imogen has spent many years servicing customers and their needs. When she started at MadeComfy in November 2017, Imogen was looking for a role that would combine her two passions; property and travel. Fortunately she joined the right company! Imogen began as an Operations Assistant, where she worked hard to ensure guests were welcomed into our homes with warmth and enthusiasm. In July 2018, she moved into the Customer Experience team to support our home owners with their MadeComy journey. Imogen is eager to assist whenever she can and enjoys sharing her knowledge from her previous role with her new team.
So far, Imogen has travelled solo to both Asia and North America, and she can't wait to explore more of the world. Her favourite cities include Singapore, Vancouver and Seattle, where she would love to live in the future to learn the art of glassblowing. In her spare time, Imogen enjoys discovering new "foodie" hotspots and sharing a bottle of wine with friends. She has recently been attending weekly trivia nights and is planning on joining a pottery class. Her current goal is to learn Spanish so she can travel to South America!
Onboarding and Account Manager
Born in India, raised in Dubai, UAE, and after travelling and living across different countries, Victor ended up in Sydney. Victor’s love for adventure brought him to MadeComfy in May 2018, where he started out as Maintenance Coordinator before moving to Brisbane and taking on the role of Onboarding and Account Manager.
With a double degree in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration, certifications from Harvard Business School, IAB Europe and Hong Kong Polytechnic, and more than 7 years of experience in project management across the globe, he ensures all customers and properties nationwide are looked after with the highest degree of care.
Following his passion for adventure, Victor is a car fanatic and loves to drive on race tracks or in the middle of nowhere, going camping. Naturally, Victor already went all over Australia’s coasts on a road trip of 21,000 kms.
Revenue and Pricing Manager
After an internship at Walt Disney World in 2008, Gina fell in love with the tourism industry hence decided to pursue further study with a Master’s degree in hospitality management in Houston, USA. When studying in Houston, she experienced all sorts of hotel departments such as Banqueting, Front Desk and Reservations until she found her passion in Revenue Management. Gina fell in love with numbers, working with Excel and handling systems. She therefore continued her adventure as a Revenue Management Trainee in one of the iconic luxury resorts – One&Only, where she started her professional journey.
Returning to her home country, China, as a Revenue Analyst for Hilton, she quickly grew into the revenue managing field. To gain additional professional experience, she moved to Australia and worked for more knowledge of the Sydney hotel and short-term accommodation market. All those experiences enhanced her leadership and management skills.
Finally, Gina joined MadeComfy as our Revenue and Pricing Manager at the end of February 2019. Here, Gina is in charge of pricing strategies and maximising property owners’ revenues through property occupancy rate and nightly rates optimisation according to seasons.
Other than her love for numbers, Gina is absolutely fond of her cat Lucky and enjoys other activities such as weight-lifting, outdoor adventures with friends and movies.
Pricing and Distribution Analyst
Originally from France, Vincent lived in Dublin whilst completing a double degree in International Management and European Business.
His insatiable appetite for knowledge in the field of management led Vincent to pursue his masters with The Global Alliance in Management Education, where he had the incredible opportunity to study in Beijing (Tsinghua University), Hong Kong (HKUST) and Sydney (University of Sydney).
His previous professional experiences include interning at major global companies such as Gucci and Salmon S.A.S. In January 2020, after completing a 7-month internship, Vincent became a full-time Pricing and Distribution Analyst at MadeComfy.
Vincent is honoured to work for a company that values employee development and in his spare time he enjoys volunteering and giving back to the community.
Business Intelligence and Research
With over 10 years experience in the financial markets and trading industry, Maria leads the Business Intelligence team in MadeComfy.
Maria has worked for reputable companies such as JP Morgan and Optiver in the area of risk management. Everyday Maria would assess the market exposure of trading strategies and the positions held by these companies' portfolios.
At MadeComfy, Maria is the person behaind building dynamic pricing which is a key to achieving great rental returns for our homes.
She loves the challenge of working in a start-up and especially with a team that is so passionate and committed to creating Australia's most trusted short-term rental company. Maria is also passionate about property styling and good music.
Head of Strategic Partnerships
Daryl was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and grew up in sunny Durban South Africa. After completing his Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Marketing and Business Management, Daryl moved to London, for 6 years to work as a Marketing and Product Manager for Samsung Europe.
Along with some extensive travel across 20+ different countries, he moved to Australia in 2006, and worked as a Sales & Business Development Manager in the Mining & Engineering sector for 10 years, before joining Quirin & Sabrina at the very beginning of MadeComfy, in 2015.
As our Head of Strategic Partnerships, he is in charge of MadeComfy's property growth through our partner channels across the Real Estate sector, Developers, Buying agents, Mortgage Brokers and Financial Advisors. He also looks after the multi-site projects and property owners.
Other than his job, Daryl has 2 young daughters who keep him busy with their sport and weekend activities. He’s also an outdoor sport lover himself, playing soccer, actively surfing and relaxing at the beach! Of course, travel and people are another passion of his.
Inbound Sales Manager
Abigail Howells is hailing from Herefordshire where she grew up in an idyllic English countryside setting, riding horses and building fires. Fast forward to today and she brings with her a wealth of property management experience having worked for 6 years at Hayes Sales and Lettings looking after the portfolios of the rich and famous (Shane Warne, Liz Hurley and Richard Hammond to name a few!)
Armed with a Law Degree she made a career u-turn from Uni to Sales to pursue her passion for Property and thus landed in the Short Term Rental market as she believes it’s a growing and innovative industry.
Priding herself on trust, rapport building and confidence with both home owners and investors alike, she has a knack for driving new business and creating long lasting relationships. When not pursuing her property dreams she’s taken time out of her busy life to travel India to become a yogi and tries to Pranayama on Bondi Beach every sunrise.
Inbound Sales Representative
Growing up in Sydney's inner west with a parent already working in the property industry, real estate was a topic often discussed in the Tahan household.
Sam’s career path in Business Development, Sales and Marketing started over a decade ago when he uncovered his passion for building relationships with clients from all walks of life. Sam prides himself on being a people person and credits his work for allowing him to gain tons of confidence, customer service, and people skills.
While working in recruitment for 5 years in Melbourne, Sam’s love for AFL grew and he is an avid supporter of the Sydney Swans along with the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the NRL. In the summer, Sam enjoys playing sports like cricket and in the winter he loves exploring Sydney's best foodie scenes.
Inbound Sales Representative
Originally from Brazil, Melissa moved to Sydney in 2015 to follow her passion for shared economies and its power to transform a traditional market into a more collaborative, efficient and sustainable model.
Her educational background in Business Administration equipped her with the capability to work in a range of fields as she previously worked in Sales, Account Management, Consumer Behaviour and Trend Forecast in countries such as China, UK, USA, Brazil, and Australia.
Melissa loves to travel and explore new cultures and cuisines and if she is not travelling then chances are that she’s hunting down a new local experience in Sydney, whether it be an outdoor adventure or a cultural event. Business Development Executive
With 5 years of Airbnb management experience, Claire first started her journey in the industry by managing her own property on the short-term rental market.
Whilst living in Melbourne since 2009, Claire has held numerous positions within the industry and discovered her passion for helping others reap the benefits of short-term rentals.
Outside of work, Claire enjoys traveling and listening to classical music with friends and family. Aa a big fan of cuisines and cultures from around the globe, Claire found MadeComfy to be an international and multicultural company, and she loves being apart of a diverse team that delivers extraordinary customer service experiences.
Senior Product Manager
Angela comes from Northumberland, in the North East of England. She completed her studies in London, starting out in the telecoms industry, before moving to her passion for travel, working for companies such as Virgin Holidays, Virgin Atlantic and most recently Expedia, working for HomeAway/Stayz.
In December 2012, Angela moved to Sydney for a new challenge and in January 2019, she joined the MadeComfy team. Passionate about providing the best user experience for our customers, she works as our Product Manager in the Tech team, where she is in charge of delivering continuous improvement to all our digital channels: website, owner dashboard, and so much more. She works closely across all of our teams to deliver improved processes, designs, and tools to help drive higher occupancy and returns for our customers.
As an outdoor lover, Angela enjoys running, sailing, yoga, camping, hiking, and of course, travelling. A challenge enthusiast, Angela travelled solo through India and South America and even got the chance to climb Kilimanjaro.
Senior Software Engineer
Born in Tahiti, Ryan decided to settle in Sydney in 2012 and start his career in software engineering. He has developed over the years a real interest in developing Web applications across the full stack of technologies. As a Senior Software Engineer, he, along with the rest of the tech team, will help MadeComfy 2.0 become a reality.
Janani Soundar is an experienced Frontend Developer who started her coding journey in 2012.
She is a tenacious learner who strives to create wow experiences for our customers. When she is not coding, she is practicing her craft work with paper quilling, knitting and nail art.
Originally working as a web designer, developer extra special combo, Rauri migrated towards pure programming towards the end of the noughties, wrapping up with a 5 year stint of extreme short term contracting around digital agencies in London. Returning to Australia, Airtasker kept him busy for the next 5 years, seeing them grow from a team of 6 to 100+.
Backed by 20 years of web development experience, Rauri brings Technical Lead chops to the table, well nourished with a solid love for graphical programming. The demoscene started it all.
Jana is specialised in Visual Design and in her past has worked on various projects for individuals, agencies and start up businesses.
She is passionate about solving significant and complex problems and creating enjoyable digital experiences.
Originally from Germany, Jana loves the Australian culture, weather and beautiful nature. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her little family.

With over 7 years of experience in digital and search marketing, Winston manages MadeComfy’s search and performance marketing channels, driving growth in new property management acquisitions.
Senior Operations Coordinator
Team Lead Guest Experience
Originally from the Netherlands, Flur has been living in Sydney since 2014 and loves spending time outdoors, especially when the weather is good and she can go camping and 4WDing!
Flur first joined MadeComfy in 2017, as an Operation Assistant, handling check-ins around Sydney, and a year after, she became our Guest Experience Coordinator. As a Guest Experience Coordinator, she makes sure all check-ins go smoothly and that all guests will have an extraordinary experience during their stay.
As many of our team members, Flur saw MadeComfy’s growth over the years and feels a part of a great family. Nevertheless, she still goes visiting her real family once every two years back in Amsterdam and uses this opportunity to travel around Europe.
Paula started working in various hospitality roles since an early age. Her first housekeeping role was as supervisor/trainer in 2010. In 2015 she moved to Sydney, Australia and since has been part of Four Seasons and Meriton housekeeping teams as Assistant manager and administrator.
In MadeComfy she is in charge of never-a-dull-moment largest department – Housekeeping. She has a passion for improving and excelling the standard of work provided by her team.
In her spare time, Paula is studying Human Resources and she loves hiking or playing with her spoiled dogs Niki the Corgi and Molly the Australian Cattle dog.
Helena initially joined MadeComfy as Operations Assistant and after graduating from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Arts she rejoined MadeComfy in a guest relations role to proactively contact guests after arrival to ensure our guests have an extraordinary experience.
Having lived in Germany for 13 years she is fluent in German and is an avid learner. Her favourite travel experience is when she spent a month in Jerusalem.
