The Space

Bonnie’s Escape is a delightful beachside retreat in Malua Bay, offering light-filled rooms, water views, and boundless relaxation opportunities. Just a stone’s throw from the tranquil beaches of Pretty Point Bay and McKenzie's Beach, this two-storey beach house sits on a grassy knoll in a peaceful neighbourhood, providing stunning views of crystal-blue waters from various spots throughout the property. The open-plan living and dining area features a spacious, fully-equipped kitchen, where you can prepare meals to enjoy in the grassy backyard, perhaps after a lazy day on the nearby sheltered beach. When it's cool, you can cozy up by the fireplace, and when it's warm, throw open the balcony doors to let in the refreshing sea breeze. Upstairs, the bathroom includes a shower and bath, serving the two charming bedrooms—one with ocean views and a private balcony, the other with a serene leafy outlook. Both have queen beds with professionally laundered linen. Downstairs, there's a third bedroom with a queen bed, a lounge area, and an ensuite bathroom/laundry, ideal for a kids' retreat with plenty of space for board games and movie nights. Whether you're seeking quiet coastal comfort or easy access to outdoor adventures, Bonnie’s Escape offers a versatile and inviting setting for your next beachside getaway.

Local area description

There are endless breathtaking beaches to choose from in and around Malua Bay if you can go past the sheltered bay just minutes from your doorstep. Malua Bay Beach is a 3-minute drive or 15-minute walk north of Bonnie’s Escape and offers ample grass area for picnics, a playground, lifeguard patrol and is dog friendly. Mckenzies Beach is a 5-minute walk or 3-minute drive south and is a smaller, white sand beach that is unpatrolled and without amenities. Expand your horizons with the nearby beaches of Rosedale, Guerrilla Bay, Tomakin and Lilli Pilli or head west to Mogo Wildlife park for a change of scenery.

Getting around

There is ample parking if you are driving to Bonnie’s Escape. Walking, cycling and driving are the best ways to explore Malua Bay as public transport options are limited. Bonnie’s escape is approximately a 4hr drive from Sydney, a 3hr drive from Wollongong and a 2hr drive from Canberra

- Late check-out: Our standard check-out is at 10 am. To guarantee a later check-out of the property we suggest booking an additional night if available. Otherwise, a late check-out is subject to availability from the night before to an additional cost.
- Baggage: For security reasons, we are unable to receive or to keep unattended baggage before check-in or after check-out

House rules

You are staying in a friendly and peaceful neighbourhood and we kindly ask you to respect the community and your surrounding neighbours. The following strict House Rules apply:

- No loud noise between 10 pm and 8 am
- No parties or antisocial behaviour
- No additional people are to access the property without our prior approval
- No smoking is allowed at any times
- If you break something, please let us know
- To help protect all floor coverings, do not wear any shoes inside the property

Please be aware that excessive noise such as amplified music, vocals or screaming or anti-social behaviour in the property or common areas can cause neighbours to complain to us, the Building Manager, Council Rangers or Police.

IMPORTANT:
- Any breach of the House Rules may lead to a $500 fine plus compensation for any cost/damage created and immediate eviction of the property without refund.
- Pets are available on request unless the property states it is pet friendly. Any stays with pets will incur an additional cleaning fee of $200.

Finally, when checking out, we kindly ask you for the following:

- Please leave all beds unmade
- Please clean up your dishes and put them away
- In case you have rearranged furniture, please put it back to the original location
- Please take out the rubbish and remember to use the right bins
- Please ensure all appliances, A/C and lights are off and doors and windows are closed.
- Please check your accommodation thoroughly before departing to avoid any unintentional items left behind.

We are not liable for any items left behind after your stay. In the rare event that a guest reports a missing item, we will make every effort to locate it for you, but we cannot guarantee its retrieval. If the item is found, we will gladly assist in arranging its return to an address within Australia, subject to postage and service fees.
